The MLA London Knowledge Transfer Programme reports have just been launched, and here they are, hot off the press. There are the Findings, a Methodology statement and an outline of planned Pilot projects. The good, even great news, is that the LDA has, despite times of turbulence, found itself sufficiently committed to the work to contribute some funding to get the 2 paris of pilots off the ground.
The first pair will develop a programme of exchange between business and the MLA sector, a step towards a new network of bridge-building alumni with a foot in both worlds and the ability to start new conversations which transform understanding of what the MLA sector can offer to business.
The second pair will work to prototype new business offers in local libraries, and support this with the development of an accredited training to develop information literacy for businesses and their workers.
Please do join in on the programme website where MLA London intends to develop blogging and discussion as the pilot programme takes shape. We’ll be contributing to that and we’d like to invite others to contribute too.
A moment of humbled, proud reflection here. The beauty of the finished products and the enthusiasm with which both MLA London and the LDA have thrown themselves behind the work really does make 11 years of Sparknow feel worthwhile. It’s an extraordinary moment and one that I’m going to stand still and savour for a bit before plunging back into the fray.
